For this project, the reconstructed bridge will have a span of 18.38m (centre of bearing pad to centre of bearing pad). The superstructure comprises six (6) No. 19.4m long precast prestressed concrete AASHTO III beams with a 250mm thick reinforced concrete structural deck. The deck elevations above sea level on the northern and southern end of the bridge are 3.85m and 3.90m respectively.
Additionally, the proposed road width over the new bridge is 7.30m wide with a 1.5m wide sidewalk on both sides.
Reinforced parapet walls are included at the sides of the sidewalk to provide protection for pedestrians.
Road works will be undertaken on the south and north approaches, as well as some drainage works and landscaping works in the vicinity of the bridge.
